GENERAL MOTORS’ CHEVROLET SIGNS SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH MAN U.
GETS MORE THAN A FOOT IN THE DOOR OF CHINA.
First, General Motors pulled their ads outta Facebook.
Next, they pulled their ads outta the Super Bowl.
Then, they made a major marketing decision and decided to look into something as “un-American” as football aka soccer.
Wait: They not only “looked” at football, they have put their big sponsorship dollars into Manchester United- especially in China with their Chevrolet.
Below and above, Man U star Ryan Giggs visits China as part of announcing this new partnership.
With the team having hundreds of millions of fans in China, General Motors have definitely shifted gears and looks to us as if they have made an extremely smart tactical move.
Riding piggy bag on the popularity of Man U on Mainland China, it could make GM’s Chevrolet really take off in the fast lane- and the biggest automobile market in the world.
We also won’t be the least bit surprised if General Motors and Chevrolet sponsor one-time Man U superstar David Beckham in China.
Remember you read it here first: “Becks” will become even bigger than he currently is in China.
He has deals coming outta his yazoo and his Management is said to be picking and choosing which products suit the star best.
