Mark Zuckerberg will never be a pauper.
However, he’ll never be a Steve Jobs, either, in that he will go down in history as not-such-a-good guy.
He became “them” or TRIED to be “them”, he was taken for a ride and he became Zuck The Huckster.
Forget how he was portrayed in “The Social Network.”
Just look into why small investors have done their money cold with Facebook shares.
Then read what we have been saying for over a year about Facebook:
Giving YOUR content away for FREE onto what would otherwise have been some empty pages on cyberspace, didn’t make much sense to us.
It’s like posting all that original content onto YouTube.
If a songwriter, how do you know your music won’t be ripped off?
No matter what some “lawyers” might tell you, online copyright laws are “murky” at best.
Meanwhile, is your content on Facebook really “your content” anymore?
Of course not.
Always read the fine print.
Sure some don’t give a fuck as they are part of Facebook and they don’t care who rips off their content.
That’s fine, but here’s the rub: Everyone who is part of Facebook works- in some way – for Facebook.
And if one works, especially for what is now a publicly listed company, well, they should be paid or compensated- somehow.
What’s next for Facebook? A slew of Copyright Infringement lawsuits and with music companies, TV channels and movie companies leading the charge.
Don’t get lost in the shuffle and, to paraphrase the great Beasties, Fight For Your Copyrights.
